Rêvo Commercial Boats
Rêvo 601 Superfly
The Rêvo 601 Superfly is a six metre welded polyethylene longboat.
This is the first welded polyethylene boat in survey in New Zealand and while it has been a testing process the results have been well worth it.
Purpose designed for salt water fly fishing charters, the boat is a development of our original polyethylene longboat hull form. The boat is capable of operating at any speed up to its maximum of 30 knots with a 60 horsepower motor.
Note on the video there is no noticeable transition from displacement to planing speeds. The hull is extremely sea kindly keeping passengers comfortable and safe and economical to run, essential to the charter operator.
It features a casting deck forward for the anglers to cast their fly lines from and the hull being built of polyethylene is tough, durable and quiet for getting in close amongst rocks without alarming the fish below.
Operated as a charter boat by Matt Von Sturmer at Salt Fly Fish if you are interested in chartering. There is a sister ship operated on the Manukau harbour by Paul Mills and Doug Rankin of Rod & Reel.
We have under development a boat with a collapsible forward cabintop for protection from the elements. Also included in this version is a fully enclosed canvas top for overnight camping and fishing trips.
We also offer this hull with jet drive and a 40 horsepower tiller steer option.
Rêvo 551 Diesel Jet Work Boat
Built by Pacific Hydraulics in Whangarei.
Specifically designed as a work boat running marinised 3.0 litre Toyota diesel engines coupled to a Scott water jet.
Pure work boats designed to do a job.
These boats work in all conditions so have to have good sea keeping qualities but also stability for safety while hauling lines and working nets.
This is an example of a Rêvo specific design to meet specific requirements using jet propulsion. The use of Toyota diesel engines was based on reliability and serviceability anywhere in the world and the need to remove petrol from the mother ships due to fire hazard.
The boats are based purely on function and performance and that in itself makes them attractive to those charged with operating them.
One skipper was quoted as saying, 'Everyone will want one of these.'
Rêvo 821 Beachcraft Jet
Designed for fishing and diving along the South Island's West Coast and regularly operates in rough seas across a notorious bar.
The owner can set the boat in the direction he wants and leave the helm.
Described by a professional skipper who conducted sea trials on the boat as the best boat he has ever been on.
The Scott 952 jet unit is superb and offers exceptional perfomance and handling.
